2,320 Years to Equal Racial Justice?

We watched the excellent History Channel documentary earlier this week on the winning Civil War general and then President, Ulysses S. Grant. It was awesome to learn what a fair and just man he was. He was determined to end the horrors of American slavery. He fought hard against the outrageous injustices and violence against blacks that continued into Reconstruction and, many believe, persist to this day.

When you see the heroic sacrifices that so many Americans made to free their black brothers and sisters from slavery all those years ago, it makes the senseless and almost casual death-by-cop of George Floyd in Minneapolis look even worse.…
